| How To Make Your Links Page |
| First thing you do when you open Front Page Express
is right click the screen and select "Page
Properties". In the "General" tab under
"Title", type in the name you would like
displayed in the top right hand corner of the page. Now
click the "Backround" tab and choose what
colors you would like for your backround and text. If you
have an image you would like to use for your backround,
check the box and type in the name of the image file.
Keep in mind that the image must be in the same directory
as the page you are creating for it to be seen, unless
you specify a different location. At this point, don't
worry about anything else here, just click "OK"
and you are ready to roll. Now lets make some links.... When I create web pages I allways use tables. You may have a better way to do it, but for now I will show you my way. First click "Tables" and click "Insert Table". Lets make it 6 Rows, 1 column, alignment is center and check "Specify Width" and set it for 200 pixels. Click ok and you should see the table on your page. Now, click your mouse in the top row of the table and drag your mouse down untill the entire table is highlighted. Click "Table" then "Cell Properties". Change the alignment from left to center, then apply it. Now type "My Link" (without the quotes) in row 2. Next highlite the word "My Link" and click "Insert" and choose "Hyperlink". For "URL" type >http://www.google.com< (without the arrows) then click OK. Do the same thing for rows 4 and 6 and pick whatever URL you like. When your done, it should look something like this below: |
| Now click "File", "Save" and choose "As File". Name it and click "Ok" and your done. If you would like to test it, just go to your windows explorer and find it, double click it and it will pop up. The links will work as long as you are on the net. |
